Na naší ambulanci a na JIP jsme měli možnost několik měsíců pracovat s automatickým analyzátorem některých biochemických parametrů firmy Abaxis, USA, nazývajícím se Piccolo. Parametry jsou stanovovány v kapilární krvi. Po dezinfekci kůže na prstu a následném vpichu se do heparinizované kapiláry natáhne 100 mikrolitrů krve. Krev se vytlačí mandrénem do štěrbin v disku, který je s přístrojem distribuován. Po zasunutí disku do přístroje (procedura velmi připomíná práci s běžným CD) a zadání dat o pacientu a kódu indikujícího lékaře probíhá po 12 minut analýza. Poté přístroj vytiskne na samolepícím štítku stanovované parametry včetně referenčních hodnot...
