Právě závažnost vlastní deformity určuje léčebný postup i prognózu postižení, přestože univerzálně akceptovaná klasifikace zatím neexistuje.

Pes equinovarus congenitus - Part II: Therapy

Pes equinovarus is a deformity with clearly described signs, but in particular cases with variably expressed features. The severity of an individual deformity defines therapeutic approach and prognosis of the disorder, even though generally accepted classification does not exist yet. The mode and timing of treatment are being still the subject of numerous discussions and controversies. By combination of conservative and surgical therapy we can achieve satisfying results in many cases. On the contrary, recurrent and refractory cases represent one of the most difficult problems to solve in the orthopedic surgery of foot.
