Středoevropská klíšťová encefalitida postihuje v ČR ročně několik stovek nemocných. Onemocnění má většinou dobrou prognózu, nutná je však dlouhodobá rekonvalescence či dlouhodobá rehabilitace u vzniklých obrn. Počet onemocnění v posledních letech narůstá. V článku jsou uvedeny formy onemocnění, možnosti diagnostiky, léčby a prevence.

Clinical signs of a tick meningoencephalitis

Central European tick encephalitis belongs among neuroinfections with relatively higher incidence. It affects annually several hundreds of patients in Czech Republic. The disease has usually a good prognosis, however long convalescence or long-term rehabilitation of caused paralysis is necessary. The number of diseases is stable in last years. Forms of the disease, possibilities of diagnosis, treatment and prevention are presented in the article.
