Akutní poškození jater paracetamolem

V odborné veřejnosti je rozšířen názor o bezpečnosti a efektivnosti podávání paracetamolu u dětí, zejména ve srovnání s kyselinou acetylsalicylovou. Uvádí se také nižší riziko vedlejších účinků při léčbě paracetamolem u dětí ve srovnání s dospělými. Jeho podávání je však natolik rozšířené, že se poměrně často popisují u dětí po jeho podání toxické reakce.

V publikacích z poslední doby jsou však uvedeny některé rizikové faktory léčby paracetamolem u dětí: věk pod 10 let, posun nástupu klinické manifestace po požití toxické dávky, opožděné podání antidota a ingesce paracetamolu zároveň s jinými hepatotoxickými léky (12).
