Complicated community acguired pneumonia in children

We describe 3 cases of complicated pneumococcal pneumonia in children hospitalized at our clinic at the beginning of 2009. We discuss

the factors, that may have led to complications, possible pitfalls of treatment and we also discuss prevention by vaccination.
