New possibilities in medical treatment of acute diarrhea in pediatric patients: racecadotril - an enkephalinase inhibitor

Acute gastroenteritis represents one of the most frequent diseases in pediatric patients. Racecadotril is a new drug, which increases therapeutic

possibilities of pediatric diarrhea. The use of racecadotril in combination with oral rehydration solutions (ORS) is recommended

for treatment of acute gastroenteritis.
