The article deals with the hand, foot and mouth disease. In addition to the issues of common symptoms and management of this disease,
it focuses on possible severe neurological complications. Also discussed is the occurrence of large epidemics abroad during which there
was involvement of the CNS. In the vast majority of cases, the condition is benign; however, given the risk of associated complications,
the goal of current research is to develop a vaccine.
