Seborrheic dermatitis (synonyms eczema seborrhoeic, dysseboroická dermatitis, morbus Unna, seborrhoides Brocqe, eczematides Darier, eczema flanellaire) ranks among the most common skin disease that affects skin areas rich in sebaceous glands and intertriginous areas. It occurs in up to 2/3 of infants between 3rd weeks and 3 months after birth and in the adult population, the incidence is estimated at 3–5%. A special group of patients consists of patients with HIV, of which occurs in up to 85% and may even be the first manifestation of HIV positivity. More men are affected. The disease has relapsed subacute to chronic course with polymorphic cutaneous manifestations.
