Lactobacillus fermentum v podpoře zdraví matky a dítěte

Lactobacillus fermentum hojně zastoupený v mikrobiotě mateřského mléka, je probiotikum, které na sebe poutá pozornost.

Příznivě ovlivňuje složení střevní mikroflory a střevní imunitní systém. U kojenců užívajících L. fermentum byl prokázán nižší

výskyt gastrointestinálních i respiračních infekcí oproti kontrolní skupině. Významného protizánětlivého efektu L. fermentum

lze využít k prevenci a léčbě mastitidy u kojící ženy. Při jeho podávání byl prokázán lepší klinický efekt než při klasické léčbě

antibiotiky. Vyšší podíl L. fermentum ve střevní mikroflóře dětí s normální hmotností oproti obezním je skutečnost, která otvírá

další potenciální možnosti využití tohoto probiotika.
