Mesenteric lipomas are a rare benign tumors of mature fat cells. Although generally asymptomatic, it occasionally causes abdominal
pain, ileus, and small bowel volvulus, depending on its location and size. We present a case report of an 8-year-old boy with
a mesenteric lipoma who has clinically presented repeated abdominal pain with vomiting. The pre-operative diagnosis of lipoma
was suggested by abdominal ultrasonography and MRI. The diagnosis of lipoma arising in the leaves of the small bowel mesentery,
was verified microscopically after the operation. The tumour was enucleated from the mesenterium leaving the intestine intact.
