Congenital hemangiomas (CH) are rare fully developed hemangiomas that are present at birth. Rapidly involving congenital hemangiomas (RICH) are a more common variant that generally has a very good prognosis. The authors describe a case of a newborn baby boy with a left cervical vascular lesion measuring 26 × 19 × 14 mm. Repeated ultrasound examination revealed a hypoechogenic lesion with reduced vascularization and with rapid spontaneous involution over several months. After considering all the findings, a definitive diagnosis of rapidly involving congenital hemangioma was suspected.
