Tepelný stres v automobilech

Letní období není bez rizika poškození lidského organizmu vlivem vysoké tepelné zátěže. Kritická situace může nastávat zejména při delším pobytu v automobilu, zejména pak stojícím, jedoucím pomalu nebo při cestování bez odpovídajících přestávek. Přitom stres z tepla hrozí jak dospělým, tak především dětem. Některé dobře dokumentované studie, které byly provedeny u dospělé populace, prokázaly, že při venkovní teplotě menší nebo rovno 30 °C došlo v uzavřeném automobilu během 15 min k vzestupu teploty v rozmezí 51-67 °C. Otevření oken automobilu na 20 cm mezeru přitom nemělo žádný výrazný vliv na snížení teploty uvnitř vozidla.
