Aké je miesto pediatra v primárnej prevencii HPV infekcie?

Máme prvú vakcínu orientovanú na prevenciu v onkológii, je to vakcína proti ľudskému papilómavírusu – HPV. Očkovanie má zabrániť ochoreniu, HPV infekcii, ktorej dôsledkom môže byť po mnohých rokoch karcinóm krčka maternice, teda malignita, ktorá sa vyskytuje v dospelom veku u žien. Tento fakt vytvára dojem, že manažment očkovania má byť dominantne v kompetencii gynekológov. Dospelé ženy prejavujú aktívny záujem o očkovanie, 12–13ročné dievčatá si rakovinu krčka maternice nevedia predstaviť, nezaujíma ich, podobne ako iné veci, ktoré sú pre nich v ďalekej budúcnosti...
