A case of severe venous thrombosis in a newborn

A case report of the newborn with birth asphyxia and early-onset infection is presented. Immediately after birth the extensive renal

vein thrombosis reaching up to the inferior vena cava in the newborn was detected. The authors discuss the etiology, diagnosis, therapy

and prognosis of this severe perinatal pathology.
