Various treatment strategies are used to prevent recurrent UTIs. Although antibiotic prophylaxis proved beneficial in modest reduction of UTI recurrences, it came with aside effect of increased antibiotic resistance. The aim of this review is to present news in diagnostics and management of pediatric UTIs based on the recently published guidelines.
