Lactase intolerance (Regarding the most common genetically conditioned metabolic disorder)

About 70 % of the world population suffer from lactose intolerance, so called lactase non-persistence. It presents with abdominal pain, flatulence and diarrhea. Children under 5 years can generally tolerate lactose.
