Smoking, tobacco, nicotine, children and adolescents

Smoking is not an adult decision, as presented by the tobacco industry marketing, but a childhood illness - most smokers light up for the first time before their 18th birthday, adults start smoking exceptionally. Therefore, there is an interest in smoking in the pediatrician's or adolescent's health facility. This includes also the use of other tobacco products than cigarettes, or other forms of nicotine, and the explanation that "less harmful" does not mean "harmless". Except of the risk level, attention paid to addiction is also appropriate.
